ALOFT AeroArchitects Recaps 2018 for Engineering, Certification and ODA Services

Georgetown, DE — February 5, 2019 — ALOFT AeroArchitects experienced another great year in the growth of its Engineering, Certification and ODA Services business.  The team delivered 28 certification projects in 2018 which included the issuance or amendment of 28 Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs).  The ALOFT ODA continues to average greater than 40 STC projects in work, most of which are performed for third-party customers.

The STCs approved by the ALOFT in-house ODA included a wide variety of systems and modifications including in-cabin wireless systems, executive and VVIP interiors, external vortex generators, helicopter-based Health & Usage Monitoring System (HUMS), LED landing lights, the conversion of a 737-300 into a fire-tanker and the next generation of our famous auxiliary fuel systems, certified for the 737 MAX.
ALOFT approved the STC’s across a broad variety of aircraft models which included the Boeing 747-400, 737-300, 700, 800, 900ER, 737 Max 8 as well as Airbus A330, A319, A321 and the Bell 407.
ALOFT’s President, Robert Sundin, remarked “The ALOFT priority is customer service.  We are intent upon creating a process to make doing business with us easy while achieving the certification goal in the most cost effective and efficient way.”

ALOFT’s interactive, teaming approach and ability to offer an a la carte menu of ODA Services is resounding with our clientele.  We can deliver on our customer relationships consistently, with predictable timelines and costs.  The significant number of aircraft and helicopters requiring certification services are providing many opportunities for ALOFT to aid in the design and certification of the future of aviation.
