ALOFT AeroArchitects Unveils ALOFT Academy
Program Designed to Bridge Skill Gap in Aviation Industry
GEORGETOWN, DELAWARE – April 8, 2025 – ALOFT AeroArchitects is pleased to announce the launch of the ALOFT Academy, an in-house, fully compensated training program designed to build the next generation of talented ALOFT technicians.
While the program is open to any interested individual, it is designed to develop each class of local, high-aptitude, mechanically inclined students into fully trained aircraft mechanics. The ALOFT Academy curriculum covers fundamentals, regulatory requirements, and specialized skills for structures, avionics, mechanical systems, and interiors. It will also include custom-made content, including general aerospace education, specialized courses, and training on ALOFT documents, policies, procedures, and safety requirements. The inaugural class starts in early June and will graduate in January 2026. The second class is slated to begin shortly after that graduation.
This initiative helps fill the skills gap in the aviation industry and provides a pathway for local students to secure full-time employment as novices in aviation while ensuring a more sustainable workforce growth for ALOFT. Scott Meyer, CEO of ALOFT, emphasized that “in today's challenging aviation talent environment, our continued growth hinges on developing our own pipeline of skilled technicians through the newly established ALOFT Academy. By identifying core traits we value in our students and then applying a specific and detailed training program, ALOFT can reliably source local individuals with little to no aviation experience and build the talent to drive the business forward.” Meyer highlighted, “by harmonizing operational needs and training content, ALOFT can effectively and sustainably leverage a larger pool of high-potential talent, available locally, and build out our company with these skilled technicians.”
The students will join ALOFT as full-time employees from the first day of class, and graduate six months later as full-time mechanics. In return for a two-year commitment to ALOFT, they will receive a fully outfitted toolbox. Interested individuals can visit http://www.aloftaeroarchitects.com/aloft-academy to learn more and apply. The first class begins June 9th.
